As I type this James will be meeting up with some of our members for an afternoon walk in Lustleigh Cleave. and what an afternoon – perfect autumn weather! Sunny, but not too hot with a light breeze.

And when I led a walk to Rowbrook Farm and the Dart Valley in August what did we get? You guessed it – rain! Still it was a great walk and I’m sure the Lustleigh Cleave one will be too.

I went to a planning meeting for a joint event on 29th October between us, the Devon Hedge Group, the National Trust and the Young Archeologists last Friday. It will be at Castle Drogo and promises to be a really good day. Maybe I’d better get James to arrange the weather.
