On 28th September, the regular DPA volunteers returned to Buckland Common to continue clearance of the Bronze Age hut settlement. They were joined by a team from Lloyds Cardnet, who worked hard. A few photos are appended below as mementoes of the day.
The weather was kind and we made very good progress, completing one hut circle and starting on another as well as following the boundary walls and clearing a large area of the centre of the site.
The cattle were quick to move in to the freshly exposed grass. Anyone passing can now see at least half of the settlement.
