COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

Passionate about Dartmoor?

Since 1883, the Dartmoor Preservation Association has been an independent charity helping to protect and enhance Dartmoor. We are now looking for an enthusiastic, organised and creative Communications Officer, who will take responsibility for the publicity and communications activities, needed to promote the Association and its work. The position will also involve assisting with membership recruitment activities.

The post-holder will be responsible for managing the creation and publication of our members’ magazine; keeping our website up to date; maintaining our social media presence; supporting our land management and conservation volunteers; attending Dartmoor shows; organising social events and the AGM; and providing general communications support.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in a similar communications role and be passionate about Dartmoor and our protected landscapes.

They will be able to work independently and as part of the DPA’s small team of hard-working and friendly employees. This is a permanent part-time role. Over the past year we have introduced a more flexible way of working and the role will involve a combination of office and home working. This is a great opportunity to help make a real difference to the future of Dartmoor.

The closing date for applications is midnight on the 31st August. A more detailed description of the position and details of how to apply can be found here.
