On Monday 1st February, 11 volunteers set out to continue our clearance of the earthworks on Roborough Down. The DPA has been involved with maintaining this site, to the west of the road from Roborough to Yelverton, since its initial clearance and survey in 2004. From time to time we return to give the gorse a “haircut”.
This is the second visit this winter, and a further visit will be needed to complete the job. The ponies were most appreciative of our efforts, moving in the instant that the machines left an area. They weren’t bothered by us doing the equivalent of sweeping under their feet!
Thank you to everyone who came along and helped.
