The day went well with a sunny start and a sunny ending. In between, there were some seriously sodden moments. Four people walked up from Cornwood. Four cars parked by the barn near East Rook Gate (courtesy of the farmer). Three other vehicles parked in the lane. The team of 13 spent the day clearing gorse from along the wall up and down from the Sayer gate, along the lower part of the main path up to Matthew Collins gate and the first section of a path leading toward the stroll by the farmstead. Some bracken was also cleared near the farmstead though the area we have been working on for years showed very sparse bracken. Tools hung on a tree during break gave us a new genus to enjoy.
