January sees many of us making resolutions to get fitter, lose weight, do our bit for the environment and so on. Sadly many of these good intentions will fall by the wayside as we find them hard work and not much fun.

What if there was a way to help keep yourself active, enjoy the natural world, learn more about the the stunning National Park that is Dartmoor… and make new friends, have fun and enjoy yourself all at he same time?

Since January 1st DPA members have taken part in four volunteer workdays, three out on Dartmoor and one indoors in Princetown. There has also been an easy walking guided walk along the river Avon in the south of the moor.

Why not come out and try a volunteering day with like-minded DPA members. What better way to get fresh air and be active than a day out helping keep Dartmoor special. Or join one of our regular guided walks to help get out onto new parts of the moor that you haven’t walked before.
