Buckland Common – after clearing
In just 4 visits to the Bronze Age settlement site at Buckland, the DPA volunteers have cleared an amazing amount of bracken. It took a lot of hard work to strim, rake, bag and drag away the offending plant.

We were pleased to have a visit from Andy Crabb, the DNPA/Historic England archaeologist who arranged this commission for us. He was most impressed.
Many thanks to all who played a part.
Let’s hope that next year the growth will be much reduced.
